Eating Disorder Clinical Therapist

Be Collaborative Care is seeking a positive, responsible, reliable, and team oriented Clinical Therapist to join their Providence eating disorder treatment center. This is a full-time position..

Be Collaborative Care offers comprehensive, individualized care for adolescents and adults with eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and compulsive overeating. BCC takes pride in having a unique and holistic intensive outpatient program (IOP), offering highly specialized individual, group and family therapies. Outpatient nutritional and counseling therapies, meal supports, groups, workshops, and experiential outings are additional supportive services Be provides in order to best support each individual client.

  • Individual and group therapy under the supervision of the Site Director/Clinical Director.

  • The Therapist will demonstrate Be’s mission by creating a positive atmosphere for patients and providing individual therapy to patients whose primary concern is eating disorders, although certain patients may present with co-existing conditions such as anxiety and /or depression.

  • The Therapist will also ensure that safe and proper services are provided.

  • The Therapist will develop and conduct individual and group therapy sessions, including establishing long-term and short-term goals based on observation and referrals from medical and therapeutic recreation staff.

  • The Therapist will provide continuing patient assessment and treatment, maintain appropriate clinical documentation and attend weekly treatment team meetings, weekly supervisory conferences and weekly individual supervision with designated supervisory staff.

  • Provide case management for assigned cases to include treatment planning, utilization review and family therapy when appropriate.

  • Participate in weekly supervision and staffing with the clinical team.

  • Represent BCC in the community, corporate and referral environments.
    Develop, plan and implement strategies to manage program growth and sustainability of the program.

  • Regularly review and recommend changes in program services to meet client needs with particular emphasis on services for underserved populations, oversight of program evaluation and quality assurance functions for department including assessment of applicable legal and professional requirements and monitoring treatment plans for clients.

  • Initiate, implement and monitor compliance with evidence- based practices.

  • Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or other related field required

  • Licensed clinician preferred

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records Management.

  • The Therapist must be able to work with multidisciplinary team of professionals and understand the complexities inherent in working with patients with eating disorders.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel and customized database.

  • Ability to work in and adapt the culture of a multi-cultural, community-based organization. ·

  • Commitment to maintain confidentiality.

Group Therapist

be Collaborative Care, Rhode Island’s premier eating disorder treatment center is seeking a highly motivated, passionate Group Therapists to join our expanding team!

Description:
Group interaction and work are a foundational part of treatment at be Collaborative Care. Our Group Therapist’s duties include providing therapeutic group support by helping clients integrate therapeutic awareness, skills, and tools into their lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead psychotherapy groups based on CBT, DBT and ACT modalities. Examples of groups include authentic living, body image, expressive arts, movement and interpersonal communication.

  • Ability to assist with therapeutic meals, including pre-meal and post-meal processing group and individual client check ins as needed.

  • Maintains professional and timely communication with client care team and other significant contacts.

  • Provide team coverage as needed.

  • Attend weekly staff meetings.

  • Additional responsibilities as requested.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about eating disorders prevention and intervention

  • PhD, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC

  • Dynamic, flexible, team player, takes initiative

  • Experience and/or understanding of eating disorders is highly desired; experience in other mental health field beneficial

  • Openness to learn new skills and take risks

  • Able to address conflict with directness and compassion

Hours:

Evening IOP runs from 4PM7PM Monday-Thursday.

Groups are 50-75 minutes depending on the content. The hours/days/number of groups available per week will vary depending on the needs of the program.
